Excellent news from one of YCE partner solar farm community groups in Shropshire: We’re delighted to share that our member Shropshire & Telford Community Energy has successfully raised £344,035 through their 2025 Share Offer 🙌 📈 They exceeded their minimum target, bringing total share equity to nearly £650,000, further strengthening community ownership of Twemlows, STCE’s solar farm. 👥 106 investors took part, with: 💷 £3,246 average investment 🌱 87 new investors (including some partners of existing members) 🔧 The funds have already been used to repay short-term loans, helping to secure STCE’s long-term ownership of the Twemlows solar farm. This also frees up capital for organisations such as Power to Change and Better Society Capital to reinvest in other worthwhile community projects — a real win-win.
